What is Karuna Reiki® ?
Karuna is a Sanskrit word used in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Zen traditions. It is commonly translated as compassionate action—the willingness to relieve the suffering of others through love, kindness, and presence.
Karuna Reiki® can therefore be understood as Reiki of Compassion. This compassion goes beyond ordinary empathy. It arises from a boundless source of unconditional love and, when united with wisdom, is believed to support one's journey toward spiritual awakening.
Origin
Karuna Reiki® evolved out of Usui and Tibetan Reiki and was developed by William Rand and other healers at The International Center for Reiki Training.
It brings in healing energies that have higher frequency, heal on deeper level, are noticeably stronger, and are capable of healing more quickly wider array of difficulties.
Some of the difficulties that Karuna Reiki® assists with are: past life issues, child abuse, karmic difficulties, unconscious patterns, sexual and physical abuse issues, relationships, addictions, communication, insomnia, co-dependence, insomnia, panic and fear attacks, tumors and cysts, fibromyalgia, bipolar disorder, Alzheimer's and many more.
Spiritual Guidance
Karuna Reiki® opens one to work more closely with all enlightened beings. It strengthens one's connection and awareness to the purest spiritual guidance with Archangels, Angels and Ascended Masters.
Some of the Spiritual Masters that Karuna Reki® practitioners experience during treatments are: Kuan-Yin, Krishna, Jesus, Mother Mary, and St. Germaine.
For many Reiki practitioners, Karuna Reiki® has become the next step after attaining the Usui Reiki Master level. The official Karuna Reiki®program is taught only by teachers who are registered with The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT).
Karuna Reiki® Classes
Karuna Reiki® Classes are offered at both Practitioner and Master levels. Those wishing to deepen their healing practice may complete Practitioner Levels I and II individually or together as a two-day training. For those who would like to teach, the Master Class provides training in giving all four attuements over 2 or 3 days.

Each class provides plenty of time for practicing with the symbols and learning how to give the complete Karuna Reiki® treatment. These classes are only offered to those who have finished Reiki Master training and have been a Reiki master for at least 6 months.
One may choose to attend just one Practitioner class, however in order to be attuned to Level Two symbols, one must complete the Karuna Reiki® Level I. first.
